This month's featured image of a Cooper's Hawk was captured In December 2025. I was sitting on my back porch one afternoon and all was quiet, that should have been a clue. I reached over for a cup of coffee when without warning, the Cooper's hawk swooped down out of nowhere and landed on my split rail fence, just long enough for some portrait shots!
